Magicshine Front Light Adapter Mount for Cateye Flex Tight Band

Human: Designed for seamless integration with Magicshine front light model HA-III SSC P7-C, this adapter replaces the standard o-ring style mount block. Its compatibility also extends to newer models like MJ-808E; if you're unsure about fitment, let us know your experience. Print Instructions: Tested under optimal conditions using PLA, 0.3mm layer height and 45% linear infill, though a 30% infill may suffice. No support material is required for assembly. Assembly 1. Remove the original o-ring style mount block from the front light base by unscrewing the single screw. 2. Secure the Adapter Mount in place using the same screw. 3. Insert a piece of Cateye brand 'square u-section' rubber strip* (23mm long x 14mm wide x 1mm thick) into the grooves on the underside of the Adapter Mount. If the length is correct, no adhesive should be necessary for a snug fit; otherwise, use glue and a similar size piece of old inner tube. Usage Before threading a Cateye brand Flex Tight band or large tie-wrap through the mounting hole in the Adapter Mount, gently bend a radius into the last 50 mm of the band. If the threads catch on the inside of the hole, try bending the end slightly more. As you draw the band through the hole, continue easing it into a round shape. Inserting the Flex Tight band from back to front of the adapter block is easier and places the free end towards the front, out of the way of your knees. Nice to Know The adapter has undergone successful field testing at night on gentle-moderate single track in the Malvern Hills, UK. Despite the rubber piece improving rotational friction-grip, I found the light held its position securely with or without it – and more securely than the original o-ring style mount block. During use, the Magicshine front light can get warm; after disassembling the Adapter Mount from my front light after each hour-long night ride, I found no evidence of molten PLA. The cooling fins of the light housing bit into the Adapter Mount, but no more than they did into the original mount block, as shown in the photos.
