Magic Wand with alternative bottom

Magic Wand with alternative bottom

prusaprinters

<p>This is the magic wand remixed with a modified bottom. I found the original hard to print (stringing and uneven surface). This remix adds an additional partial cone at the bottom, which provides a larger flat surface and steeper lower perimeter. No other modification was made.</p><h3>Print Instructions</h3><p>These are printer specific, your mileage may vary.</p><p>I have also used FreeCAD to add embossed text with the childrens' names on the wands. Watching a <a href="https://youtu.be/yV26cig0p4I">FreeCAD tutorial</a> helped (add a cone that aligns with the magic wand at the place where you want the text, reduce the angle to 180° or less, then project the text on the round surface. Play with padding height of text to get the emboss effect).</p><p>I have printed them in Prusament PETG Galaxy Black. The sparkles made a nice effect and I liked it more than a jet black test print.</p><figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td>Printer</td><td>Mk3s+</td></tr><tr><td>Filament</td><td>Prusament PETG</td></tr><tr><td>Infill</td><td>100% on top, 25% on other parts</td></tr><tr><td>Supports</td><td>None</td></tr><tr><td>Scale</td><td>90% (otherwise too large for this printer model, scale all parts)</td></tr><tr><td>Brim</td><td>8mm for handle and top (tip and bottom print fine without)</td></tr></tbody></table></figure><p>Use 100% infill to avoid easy breaking (tried at 25% before but made them rather brittle).</p>
