Magic The Gathering Container Splitter
thingiverse
I wanted to find a better way to start storing my growing Magic The Gathering collection. After looking into online store's, and around at local shops, I ended up deciding to buy a few Sterilite container's, and create splitter's for them, to divide the box in half, giving my cards a nice little plastic bin to sleep in. I also decided to line the bottom with a foam liner, so that the cards where resting on a flat surface, and on something that would be forgiving to them, if they did fall over. The bin I used: [Sterilite 6 qt clear container] (https://www.target.com/p/sterilite-6-qt-clear-view-box-clear-with-latches-purple/-/A-13794493) There is still a little work for me to do around the side's and top with some foam, to limit card's available space to move, but for now, a basic storage container that is about $7 for all the material's, and the assumption you can't go throwing it around like it's indestructible, and your card's can be nice and organized. The front plates are 154 mm long, and the split is about 140 mm long, per half. According to my math, this will fit ~925 un-sleeved cards, and about 560 sleeved cards. 280 mm / .3 mm = 933 cards per side 925 * 2 = 1850 un sleeved cards per box 280 mm / .5mm = 560 cards per side 560 * 2 = 1320 sleeved cards per box I am included Clean Splitter's incase you want to decorate them any additional way's. I am also including the 3 I am printing, which is 1 land per row, A Swamp & Plains splitter, a Mountain and Forest splitter, and a Water and Colorless splitter. I split the middle out just to save on filament, and I print them on the face plates.
