Magic Hand Mirror

A handheld mirror prop featuring a mirrored or clear plexiglass front, framed by 9 printed parts glued together, is required for the local production of Beauty & the Beast Jr's magic mirror scene. To assemble, trace the inner edge of the frame onto plexiglass and cut it out using a band saw; if using clear plexiglass, paint its backside silver. Trace the outer edge of the mirror (excluding the handle) on thin plywood and cut it with a band saw. Decorate the backside as desired before attaching 10mm LEDs to each hole of parts 1-8 and mounting a momentary switch into the handle's side hole. Wire up the LEDs according to your batteries and LED specifications, test connections, fit the plexiglass and back panel, and secure with gaffer's tape for easy battery changes during performance.
