Magic folding cube - proof of concept

Last year, my wife created a mind-blowing magic folding cube as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I had to design and 3D print this version first to demonstrate its feasibility after it was printed. The design has a noticeable gap between the cubes, making it easy to visualize how it works. A more refined version with a smaller gap is called the Magic Folding Cube.
