Magic Crystal by Big Clive

This is an incredible project to work on with your kids. Print it with any "natural color" or other translucent light-colored PLA that you prefer. Pick up some packs of color-changing LED's like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/100pcs-5mm-LED-Diode-White-RED-Blue-Green-Yellow-Orange-Pink-RGB-Brightness-Lamp/253936576000 The crystal is from BigClive, a talented youtuber who originally designed it in OpenSCAD. I modified his design slightly by adding an inner base ring to make warping less likely. It's super easy to solder the LED's in series, like Clive did, or in parallel as I did. Parallel does not require each LED to have its own resistor, but you do need a voltage regulator. Then feed it with any old wall transformer that supplies 5V-12V and a small adjustable switching regulator like this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32729546380.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4din7MEO or any small step-down v-reg to adjust the voltage down to around 3V (adjust to desired brightness).
