Magic Charms of Pentagons
thingiverse
A decorative charm made from five identical pentagons arranged in a circle is created by numbering consecutive vertices and ensuring their sums are consistent. This design element could be used to personalize birthday or anniversary cards, as well as cakes. Eighteen versions of this charm exist, numbered from one to sixteen, with varying sums ranging from thirty-four to fifty-one. However, while maintaining consecutive numbering, the vertex values can be adjusted to produce a range of sums from zero to hundred. OpenSCAD code provides instructions for generating these charms. Ten examples are provided here, showcasing sums of zero, thirty-four, thirty-seven, forty-one, forty-three, forty-four, forty-eight, fifty, fifty-one, and one hundred. Utilizing the openSCAD code enables users to generate numerous other combinations.
