https://youtu.be/epeqwd2ebi0 It's bigger on the inside... A cake that outstretches its lid, standing tall and proud. For my daughter's Halloween costume, I created this masterpiece. It's cool, it works, but the hours spent printing and finishing may not be worth the fleeting seconds of amazement. Three M3 screws secure level 1 to the platter, and I used 10mm length, though any length will likely suffice. This project also requires specific magnets: http://a.co/d/faNz8DG, now available on Amazon for $8US. You'll need to CA glue them into place, taking care to match up the + and - ends of each magnet with their opposites above or below. I marked one end with a Sharpy pen before gluing, and it's also essential to alternate + with - as you go around the 3rd level. This way, if you slightly rotate the lid, it will detach from the cake (as seen in the video above). If you mess up your magnet orientation, remember that acetone dissolves CA glue. **Important Note!** After printing, I discovered that the 3rd level likes to rotate and get stuck under the 2nd level. To fix this, I added a red plastic beam to keep the 3rd level from falling past the 2nd. I cut a piece of plastic from a laundry detergent bottle for this patch. I also found that the 2nd level wouldn't fit into the 1st due to anchors inside the 1st level for screwing into the platter. Using nippers, I clipped out space in the 2nd level for the 1st level's anchors. If there's demand, I may adjust the model. The rectangular holes in the tray are designed for a Velcro strap to hold it securely to your hand.
