This is a remix of the awesome work done by Xevin for the MagHex Walls for Gloomhaven. I can't recommend the system enough! I threw away months of personal work when I discovered his superior system. I should also say that to preserve sanity, I embraced Xevin's ashlar wall design for all my map layouts and have not tried to do the same with the other wall types. (Even during a pandemic, there are only so many hours in the day!) Xevin provides a very efficient solution for the junction of walls through six-way turrets. I am OCD, so I like having every possible combination of Gloomhaven walls available in their own special pieces. Xevin was kind enough to craft and add 90 degree corners to his collection, but I didn't want to bug him for all the others, so... SketchUp to the rescue. These aren't the prettiest on the block, but they work really well in real-world testing. To try to come up with a labeling system, I numbered the hex corners and used letters for the hex faces. So: ACE is a wall that is a perfect "Y" facing three opposing hex faces; AC5 is a twisted "Y" that has ends that butt up against two hex faces and one hex corner. Some of the pin nails line up so that the wall might seem a little loose when you attach it, but once you have all the walls in place, it tends to be really solid. I did this for personal use, but I do hope others out there with OCD will find this as valuable as I did! And I can't thank Xevin enough for all his original work on such an elegant and beautiful solution. It has transformed my Gloomhaven experience. Now, bring on Frosthaven! :)
