Magentic Geared Fidget Spinner

Magentic Geared Fidget Spinner

I'm building a geared fidget spinner inspired by various designs I've seen, but its origin remains unclear. The bearings are interconnected, so spinning the outer case around the central bearing causes the inner bearings to spin in the opposite direction. This model uses magnetic gears instead of traditional ones. Components: The gears employ 48 - 4x2 magnets*, which can be supplemented with additional magnets to hold parts together (or glue dots*). The magnets on the gears alternate between north and south-facing sides. Requirements: Five skate bearings* are needed (two in the center). Ceramic ball / magnetic steel bearings* would likely work better, but I used regular metal bearings, which were affected by the magnets and spun for only a few seconds. Filament: The spinner is made from Atomic Filament Starry Night PLA, Filamentum Vertigo Gray*, and Rapunzel Silver* PLA.
