Magellan RoadMate Replacement GPS Mounting Base

I was stuck when my suction cup mount for my Magellan RV9165T-LM RoadMate GPS broke, so I started searching for a new way to secure it. I decided to take inspiration from an old iQue3600 Palm Pilot/GPS dashmount and create something similar. Here's what I came up with. This design uses the original GPS mount and attaches a ball-jointed arm to it, along with the same toothed inserts that were included. To assemble this contraption, you'll need to follow these steps: bolt > mount > washer > insert > arm > insert > washer > mount > nut. Once the nut is tightened, the arm will be locked in place. You can then attach the base to your dash using double-sided adhesive and/or self-tapping screws. I intentionally made the screw holes small so you can drill them out if you prefer that method. This model showcases another possible use for Sketchup, debunking the myth that it's useless for 3D printing projects.
