I've used Mage Knight Dungeons tiles and walls for many years, but limited wall options have often made them awkward to use. I've redone a lot of dungeons to make the most of them. I'm now making walls and floor tiles that greatly improve the options available to the set. Design: This release is specifically designed for straight walls with bars for use on a single tile. All the files posted feature flat tops and beveled edges. Design Tools: I've included files for tools which I used to create some of the essential aspects of the designs. The base that the wall section is built upon comes with pins and holes, should you want to use nails instead. The lock box with keyhole template, wedges to use in rotating arrangements and the spoon lift cut out template are all included. The spoon lifts help reduce pin breakage by allowing for a flatware spoon to lift the wall straight up. Printing: I prefer to print them upside down so that the pins face upwards. I recommend printing the top (at the pins) 10mm solid. If the pins break off, the solid will allow you to drill holes in the base and glue in nails to replace the pins. You'll want to buy from Home Depot their part 16F1 Grip Right Finish Nails 16D, which work great. If you prefer to use nails instead of pins from the start, cut off the base pin area from the wall file and add the base for nails which is included in the tool kit. Cut the nails so that they protrude about 4.7mm. When gluing the nails into place, rest two of the walls upside down with a floor section between them. The nails will pass through the floor sections and be held in the correct positions as the glue dries. File the nails to the needed height and remove burrs from the cutting process. Post Print: Printed pins need filing. Be patient and round the bottom edge of the pins ever so slightly. Attached is a spreadsheet that helps describe the naming convention for the design and those yet to be made. There will be a version of simple barred walls with nails as bars posted once I've finalized the no-glue version. I've prepared "Y" or 45-degree turn bases with inserts of various terrain types. To match the original tiles, which were meant to be 10' by 10', I've created 5' x 10' and 5' by 5' tiles. I'm happy to see others submit versions with additional options applied.
