Venus in the Petersfels/ Neuchâtel-Monruz style, which date to the Magdalenian. There are many stylized venuses from Petersfels, this is made in their general style and is the approximate size of the largest, which is known as the Venus of Engen. They are drilled, presumably to be threaded on a string. They vary quite a bit in size, so print them at whatever size you prefer. In the photo, the larger one is printed at 100% and the two smaller ones at 70%. The originals are made of jet. I sanded mine and painted them with acrylic paint, and when they had dried painted over that with 5 minute epoxy. Photographs of the Petersfels Venuses, including the Venus of Engen can be seen on Don Hitchcock’s excellent website, Don’s maps (linked below). I am presenting these 3d models to everyone, free of charge. None of them were directly scanned from original (“real”) artifacts, but made off of copies which I have personally carved myself. Because of this, I own the rights to all of these; and I hereby give you free access to use them for whatever purposes you desire. If you do use these models or data derived from them in a publication, please thank me or provide a citation to this page; while the models are simple they represent a fair amount effort in research, carving, scanning, etc. Source: https://donsmaps.com/petersfels.html
