Magazine Rack Base V1
thingiverse
This base holds a magazine rack that offers slots on either side where you can insert the material needed for supporting actual magazines. As shown in the images provided, I utilized two acrylic pieces to construct the sides of this magazine rack. The acrylic itself measures about 12" x 14" x ¼". If there's room for improvement, let me know; I'm eager to hear your suggestions and learn from them. You can observe how it was printed at https://vimeo.com/109029463 Here are the step-by-step instructions: First, print out this magazine rack base. Next, I used foam board cut into roughly 12" x 14" pieces to serve as the sides of this magazine rack, but it is prone to toppling over if loaded unevenly because it lacks a lot of weight. Note: Since writing and editing this text I have found an upgrade using actual acrylic, making the design significantly more stable. The .stl and skp files for you can be found attached at the bottom of this entry.
