I recently embarked on a small project, driven by my acquisition of exquisite beech plywood. The remarkable grain pattern is rarely found in standard plywood sheets, making it an attractive choice. Moreover, I had to replace my magazine organizers made from cardboard as they kept falling apart. The design process was accomplished using Solid Edge 2D Drafting, a robust parametric CAD tool that enables the creation of drawings with adjustable material widths. To produce a first prototype, I uploaded three different thicknesses: HDF at 4.2 mm and various beech ply sheets measuring 4 mm and 3.6 mm.
