Mafalda

Human: A Mafalda statue stands in San Francisco Park since October 2014, facing a duck pond. Designed by Pablo Irgang, it honors Argentine cartoonist Quino's iconic character. The statue was installed to commemorate Quino's Prince of Asturias Prize win. It's an artistic tribute in Oviedo's cityscape, part of the council-arranged outdoor museum featuring 100 cultural pieces showcasing the area's rich history. Not a toy, it's a colorful work by Pablo Irgang, who also created a similar piece in Buenos Aires' San Telmo neighborhood. Mafalda, Quino's rebellious child character, embodied the spirit of Argentine youth resisting societal norms.
