Maersk Line, a division of A.P. Moller – Maersk Group, is the world's largest container shipping company with operations through 374 offices across 116 countries. This Danish business conglomerate employs approximately 32,000 people and operates over 600 vessels with a capacity of 2.6 million TEU. Established in 1928, Maersk Line is known for its extensive global coverage including Asia-Europe, Trans-Atlantic, South America to Europe, and Africa trades. In 2011, the company introduced the Daily Maersk service between China and European ports, but later had to cut down services due to over supply. Recent restructuring includes upgrades to their Asia-Australia, India to West Africa, and China to America routes. Besides main trades, Maersk Line operates several continental trade lines through MCC Container Lines, Seago Lines, and the re-launched Sea-Land Service brand for intra-Americas trade lanes.
