Madonna di Siloe is referred to initially Bartolomé Ordóñez and later Diego De Siloé over the course of the Ten years of the Fifteenth century, the sculpture depicting the Madonna with Child adorns the altar of the small chapel dedicated to Catherine Pignatelli, Duchess of Fondi, which opens to the right of the only nave of the Church of Santa Maria Assunta dei Pignatelli.
