My friend's daughter created a mobile for him. However, it collapsed because the strings used to hang it up lacked support. He asked me if I could come up with an alternative solution. That's exactly what I've done. To make this project work, you'll need 7 chopsticks in total. Cut them into legs and you're ready to go! Alternatively, you can use three legs each for a more stable design. A picture is worth a thousand words, so take a look at the pictures. The upper standoff has holes that allow you to thread string through it. Unfortunately, the holes are quite small, so I had to use a needle to help guide the thread. To assemble this project, cut off the pointed ends of the chopsticks and trim the square ends to size. Everything is designed for press-fit assembly, but adding glue will make it even stronger. Now you're ready to have fun!
