Thanks to the original creator, this pylon racer is amazing, flies great and is easy to print and build! but I was curious how it feels with FPV equipped. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzrZnbn4FXc --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2022-03-06: Added Fuse 1b, Fuse 2b and Fuse_02bNutAdapter. Struggled with the nut inserted into lw-pla, so I designed an adapter that has to be glued into the fuselage. also I added some ventilation holes since my vtx and esc is heating up without any air stream. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2022-03-06: Added ElevatorServoMount_V1.0.stl for 9g servos like Emax ES08MG II or cheap MG90S --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am using an old Mamba F4 Mini with Inav 4.0, 2600KV motor with 50A BlHeli_32 esc, Inav shows up about 20A with 4.75x4.75 propeller and 4s battery at full throttle. For FPV and radio I am using a IRC Ghost Hybrid, which fits perfect on top of the flight controller. I want to make sure the vtx is as far as possible from possibly melting PLA. Added FC mount for 20x20 flight controller, I printed it from flexible TPU glued it with epoxy in place. The mounts fits perfect 1-2cm in front of the elevator servo. First attempt with CA failed, I think because CA is very stiff, not like the TPU and LW-PLA i used. In addition you find a mod of the canopy to add a nano sized camera. Just put the camera inside from the bottom and secure it with some small drops of hotglue. I smacked a servo while landing so I made my own servo cover that also secures the servo horn. This was a hush-hush design and could be done much better, but I wanted it to be printed easily. I glued it with CA in place. The original engine bracket is designed for a specific motor. Since I am using a T-Motor F40pro V2, I recessed the motor mount slightly. Last, but not least I redrawed the spinner for larger props and tighter hole for the motor shaft. For some speed runs I will add a gps module soon, if needed, I will add a mount for this, too! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - spinner and engine bracket printed with PETG, especially the engine bracked should be printed in a higher heat resistant filament. support is not mandatory - flight controller mount printed with flexible filament like TPU. Print it up-side-down with support - servo covers dont need any support, print it with whatever you like, should be not too flexible, i am using PLA+ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you print the airplane with LW-PLA I recommend you to reinforce the fuselage underneath the wings - where you hold and throw it. I cracked it several times while throwing.
