A rad design inspired by the latest George Miller film - Mad Max Fury Road; an awesomely apocalyptic convoy-chase action thriller that's totally out of this world! In this movie, everything is completely insane and over-the-top!!! One of the things that makes this movie truly special is its unique and awe-inspiring vehicles. So, we created one of the giant and extraordinary trucks, the Doof Wagon, just like it was featured in the film. The Doof Wagon is possibly the most crazily insane contraption ever made. Warner Brothers calls it a "sonic carmageddon," which is an apt description. This speaker-stacked, guitar-thrashed monstrosity was meant to rally the troops like drummers marching with soldiers in ancient battles. It has a supercharged V8 engine with a mobile stage, a wall of speakers and sub-woofers, and air conditioning ducts that drive home the beat of the accompanying Taiko drummers. The Doof Warrior swings from a bungee cord mounted to the front as he shreds metal while flames are thrown from a double-necked electric guitar. Somebody will definitely recreate it at Burning Man this year. This project is a collaboration with my friend and fellow 3D artist, Cemal Cetinkaya. Software-wise we started out using Rhino for the chassis, and for the details like rust and wear and tear, we used Zbrush.
