Mad Mat

I had a blast working on this project with you, Mat! Initially, my goal was to create a Mad Max parody because of the pun, but I ended up incorporating Terminator elements once I mastered the Damaged Hull smart material. If I'm paroding two franchises, I figure I'll have a solid defense against any potential lawsuits from both companies - or better yet, they can duke it out over my nonexistent fortune as a broke college student! Along the way, I discovered some amazing features in Substance Painter, including tessellation, displacement, and parallax occlusion maps. Whether I win or not, I'm thrilled that my pun led to this Mad Max parody survivor Mat - and I hope everyone finds him amusing, despite his rather rough state. His chapped lips and gaping holes definitely make him look like a warrior who's been through the wringer!
