Mad level test
thingiverse
Yes, another level test, and it's not even the only one from me here! I was printing some TPU bristles for a dust shoe (see my other things) and I noticed that bed level was critical. Too large a gap, and the bristles were two lines rather than a solid bit, too close, and the bristles merged. I ripped my bristle code out and dropped it into a fresh file that uses the idea of 0.8mm wide strips with 0.4mm gaps to create a single layer object that prints in each corner of the bed. This prints very quickly, and you can then tweak the knobs before printing again, or even tweak mid print if feeling brave. As the tests are in the corners, most parts can be printed straight afterwards without even bothering to remove the test prints (but do remove any nozzle wipe, etc.) Here is a video of the test printing so you can see what about right looks like compared to too close or too large a gap. https://youtu.be/NvcvmDiloyQ Let me know how you get on. OpenSCAD source included if your bed isn't 200x200mm. Update: I have added line_width to the source and have provided an STL for 0.6mm nozzles.
