I Made One: Mad Hatter's Tea Party Teapot Update It appears that the only way I can add STLs for the two components mentioned in my previous "I Made One" entry for reddadsteve's Mad Hatter is to create a remix. Note that this will be the first time I've done any actual remixing, as I simply glued a valentine-heart to the existing teapot without making any changes. Here's a cut/paste of the relevant text from my make: Just for fun, I added a Queen-of-Hearts valentine-heart to the teapot. I'm not sure how the Hatter managed to acquire a set of the Queen's tea service, but he was always a bit cunning. To get the flat heart to conform to the sides of the pot, I created a relief of the side of the pot to use as a form/clamp - see red block in photo. I positioned and attached the heart to the teapot with a single drop of tacky glue in the middle. After the glue had set up but not cured, I used a heat gun to warm up the heart (not too hot; if it sags, that's way too much) then pressed down tightly with the clamp for about 10 seconds or so. The result was a very tight fit of the heart to the curved contour of the teapot. I've attached the files for the heart and the form/clamp, if anyone is interested. Print several hearts at once - you'll likely want to practice. You could even print a bunch of the hearts and use them as confetti next Feb 14th !
