Mad Eye Moody motorized eye patch

thingiverse

This is a fantastic Mad Eye Moody eye patch for my wild-eyed costume. You can find all the source files as well as a detailed build log at cyborgworkshop.org/2016/09/07/mad-eye-moodys-magic-eye/. And here's a video of the eye moving in action: youtube.com/watch?v=8OwszGGdZPA and youtube.com/watch?v=rj3u3MQmCE8. The eye will move on its own by swiveling on its axis, so you don't have to motorize it. But if you want to power it up, a specific sub micro servo (listed in the build log) and a micro controller like the digispark are required. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Custom Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: The case prints in two parts that need to be glued together afterwards. You can print them as one piece if you stack them in your slicer and use lots of supports, but I wouldn't recommend it. How I Designed This: A full build log and video is at cyborgworkshop.org/2016/09/07/mad-eye-moodys-magic-eye/.
