Mad Cat / TimberWolf Mech Warrior with Micro Servo Recess
thingiverse
I recreated a model from Thingiverse's "Robot Hand" (thing:7579) and made some modifications with Google Sketchup. I created a servo horn recess at the top of the legs, but the imported STL files for arms and legs had geometry issues. Netfabb Cloud helped me fix those problems and output printable STL files. I attached all my Google Sketchup designs and print-ready files. I printed the model on an UP 3D printer, and it fits a standard micro servo from eBay. The model has small indents for magnets to hold arms in place, but the weight makes them drop. Magnets and servos can be bought from provided eBay links. Share your experiences with this project! Video of the mech in action is included in the attached files, which can also be found on Thingiverse (link: http://www.thingiverse.com/download:318852).
