The Red-necked Wallaby Skull MZB 2009-3973-B is a remarkable specimen. It belongs to the species Macropus rufogriseus, first described by French zoologist Anselme Gaëtan Desmarest in 1817. This particular individual is a female adult, with a distinctive red neck marking that sets it apart from other wallabies. The skull itself measures an impressive 361.2 millimeters in length, 65.3 millimeters in width, and 130.1 millimeters in depth. It was collected on October 11th, 2009, and is now preserved for future study and research.
