These modifications enable a 2.5x5.5mm DC jack to be installed in the face plate, allowing power to be supplied directly from a non-USB PSU to the GPIO. Moving the openings for Micro USB and HDMI to the left made room for the changes, and eliminating the MicroUSB PWR IN opening simplified the design. The Raspberry PI Zero mount was slimmed down and its stand-offs lowered, permitting the RasPi-Z to be mounted farther to the left, which in turn allowed space for the DC jack installation.
