Human: Hi there, GOOD NEWS TO ALL! THE IPHONE 5-5S VERSION IS NOW READY AND WILL BE SHIPPED OUT AS SOON AS IT'S ADDED TO THINGIVERSE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD. Here it is, version 2! UPDATE 01: I've just added two extra STL files to print it in parts if you have a smaller 3D printer. One part has been revised, no longer causing issues with the other. UPDATE 02: The iPhone case can now be printed in two separate pieces! Note that I'll create another version for even smaller printers soon. UPDATE 03: IT'S DONE AND UPLOADED! Check it out and show some love (soon to be followed by an iPhone 6 Plus baby). UPDATE 04: But first, I'm working on designing a keyboard to fit the iPhone. It'll house a third-party wireless Bluetooth keyboard from eBay, which is super cheap, white, and sleek. UPDATE 05: I've finished designing the keyboard that matches this project! With my new PLA shipment arriving today, I'll print it tonight after work. I also received the Bluetooth keyboard, which works great for under $20 AUS. My Apple II design is almost ready to be printed too! UPDATE 6: Head over to Thingiverse to check out the keyboard: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:673695 UPDATE 07: That's it, I've completed this project! I'm moving on to two new ones - the iMac box (an iPhone/s charging dock and Apple TV enclosure) and the Apple II. Photos added of the new keyboard in action - with the cutout for the disk drive working perfectly without support when printed sideways. It takes about 15 hours to print, so far I've done three! http://www.wired.com/2015/01/slick-macintosh-design-inspired-first-mac-time/ Inspired by that article, I thought it'd be cool to modify the design for an iPad Mini. IT'S FINISHED! Check out the updated photos! UPDATE 8 (2015_10_29): This project took some time and effort, but any prototype costs me money upfront - I'm happy to bear those expenses. Please consider supporting my future projects: https://www.paypal.me/justonedollar I added rice between the scaffold pieces for a nice heavy finish! Thanks Apple store in Brisbane CBD for letting me take photos there. Look at my other iPad Mini creations on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:342809 As an architect, I used ArchiCAD to design this project, importing the original Macintosh and iPad mini models, then modifying them according to proportions and original images from that article. I rendered it using Artlantis super quickly! www.hugoriveros.com
