This is a tool I designed to remove the black washers inside the Macintosh 800k and 1.4M manual-inject floppy drives when you are dis-assembling them for lube and service. In some YouTube repair videos, they just skip over the difficult removal of these, probably they don't want to embarrass themselves in front of their fans. They are not split washers and you can easily damage them or the smooth slide surfaces if you just use a screwdriver to pry them out It will take you longer to make this tool, than to get those pesky washers out using it. Trust me, it's worth the time.
