This is a blueprint for a casing that houses the Half Size MachTach device https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3352007 The casing has two parts which come together with a small ridge. A port and outlet are located on one side/back allowing easy access to the sensor and power inputs. Two display holes are placed on top of the case as well as openings for rotary encoder settings. Inside the casing, there is also a recess for the lens component from the printed material inside the upper part of the enclosure. To secure both parts together with the MachTach module, use four #4 x 1" metal sheet screws and then insert a 1/4" space in between. Note: There have been improvements made since my first design that you can access by clicking "Edit Post". One enhancement was added to support stand-offs more efficiently for an upgraded design. Round plastic holders at each corner should keep parts from falling down while they're printing. When the build is complete, just break off these corner pieces. Also worth mentioning are additional options made since the initial design. For best print results you need: Printer brand: Prusa i3 Settings: Use or not to use rafts? - Not required Using or not supports?- Don't add any support structures Choose resolution- Set to 0.1mm resolution Setting the fill pattern: Optimal is a 20% filling option For a successful build try setting your extruder at 200 degrees and heating up bed plates at about 40 degree Celsius using either BuildTak material or find the suitable setting with another one of you favorites. Pla will do great!
