This Document Reveals the MachTach Machine Tachometer Design Which Was a Product I Sold in the Past. Since I No Longer Sell MachTach Kits, I Have Decided to Make the Design Open Source So People Can Create Their Own Tachometers. For More Information on How the MachTach Works, How to Assemble It, and How to Choose and Use Various Sensors, Please Read the Documentation. The MachTach Supports IR, Hall Effect, and Gear Tooth Sensors, with Support for Gears Up to 90 Teeth. Here's a Quick Overview The MachTach is a Machine Tachometer Used to Display the Speed of Any Machine Tool in Revolutions Per Minute (RPM), Surface Feet Per Minute (SFM), or Surface Meters Per Minute (SMM). Machine Tool Speed Plays a Crucial Role in Determining How Quickly Material Can Be Removed, the Surface Finish, and Tool Life. Therefore, Speed or Surface Feet Per Minute Should Be Chosen Based on the Material, Cutting Tools to Be Used, and Desired Surface Finish. The MachTach Requires Only a Simple Sensor to Make Its Speed Measurements. This Thing Includes 3D Sensor Housings, Enclosures, Panel Mounts, PCB Layout Files for ExpressPCB, Software, Hex Files, and Parts Lists for Your Convenience.
