The Printrbot Jr's z rods receive a spool holder that sits atop them, minimizing the printer's footprint while looking good too. Comprised of a base and two screwed-in cylinders, the holder's design may need adjusting to match your spool's dimensions. SketchUp source files are included for easy reference. If you're printing tall items, like this stand, be prepared to remove the holder as z translation will collide with the cylinders. Alternatively, it can rest on a table without the cylinders.
