The M134 Minigun is a weapon driven by electrical motor, functioning on the Gatling principle with six rotating barrels. Each barrel has its bolt group, which moves back and forth as an operating roller passes a curved internal track. The topmost barrel is open while the bottom barrel fires. Barrel locking is achieved via a rotary bolt head. The gun's power source makes it immune to dud rounds, ejected during normal operation. Feeding can be through a linkless chute or linked ammunition, with a powered feeder/delinker for the latter. An electronic control box is included, featuring a 'master arm' switch and fire controls for manual installations. It was designed in SolidWorks 2012 and rendered in KeyShot 4.
