sketchfab
This model presents a detailed interior view of the Spanish Civil War era machine gun bunker located at Alhama de Murcia, Spain. Constructed circa 1937, the exact date remains unknown, yet it is presumed to have been built during this time frame. The interior comprises two machine gun placements situated on either side of a central storage room used for ammunition and supplies. This structure played a pivotal role in implementing part of the ground defense plan for the naval base at Cartagena, making it one of the finest examples of 20th-century military architecture within the Murcia Region. This digital model was generated from a total of 15 scans taken using a FARO Focus S70 laser scanner. The acquired data were then registered in FARO SCENE 7.1 through cloud-to-cloud processing and subsequently exported in PTX format for post-processing and reconstruction utilizing Meshlab software.
