Machi Koro to Machi Koro: Bright Lights, Big City Conversion Compact (Expansion) Box Insert
thingiverse
Machi Koro: Bright Lights, Big City is my top pick for the ultimate version of Machi Koro, but in reality it's merely a repackaging of most of the base game and the Harbor and Millionaire's Row expansions with a slightly tweaked rule set. Since I already own the base game and both expansions, and since I also keep the game in its compact expansion box, I figured a custom insert for the converted game in an expansion box would be super handy. Convert the game by removing cards according to this BGG wiki entry. For a 100% conversion, you'll need to substitute the Dice Tower promo card with the Moon Tower; but the game plays just fine without it. In fact, some people argue that it's better without the Moon Tower. Either leave it out or keep the Radio Tower from the base game. Print one each of the two card trays and the dice tray, but make two coin trays that stack on top of each other. They all fit together perfectly as shown in the pictures, with a compartment below the dice tray for keeping extra cards not used in the conversion. I kept mine, it would be a sin to throw them away. Also included is a rack to keep my dice from wobbling around in the box. I use 4 discarded casino dice in addition to the 2 included ones, and this rack keeps everything organized and tidy.
