I had problems using the original design with my MacBook Pro 15 inch (Mid 2014). My laptop kept falling backwards. The design also didn't look very secure. So I solved that problem by extending the length of the design and adding a supporting bracket in the middle of the stand. In the images you can see and compare the old design on the left with the new one on the right.
