If you're using a Kinect or similar USB-tethered scanner, it's handy to be able to walk around with your computer within easy reach with the screen up close and comfortable. These Mounts slide into the gap between the MacBook body and the screen, keeping the two 137 degrees apart and providing a useful point to mount the ends of a neck strap. You'll need a couple of M5 screws for the ends of the strap. I used a cheap guitar strap which is just about perfect. Just one thing. DON'T, on any account, close the lid of your lappy with these little guys fitted. I imagine that would saddle you with a big repair bill. Suggest you print them in a BRIGHT colour! UPDATE: These guys are a tad thick and need to be filed down a little. The thinest part is 2mm thick. Needs to be filed down to 1.5-1.6mm. If they don't slide in, it's worth moving the screen/lid up and down to get the exact right angle but DON't force them in. If they don't slide, file 'em some more. Will change the design when I get time. Instructions Screw an M5 ( 5mm ) screw into each mount. Slip the head of each screw through a hole or loop in your neck strap. nb: You can loop a rubber band between the outer round ends. This will keep the two mounts in their rightful place. Happy scanning! :-D
