I designed my own laptop stand inspired by Twelve South's design, which I used for a year before it met its demise when I stepped on it and broke it in two. I placed it on a carpet floor, but it was never stable enough to support the weight of my computer. Recently, I acquired a larger printer and created an arched base that is super strong and extremely stable. It looks fantastic too. The Macbook Pro slot width is 18.2mm; adjust your settings if you're using a different computer. The Macbook Air has a narrower slot width of 12mm. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 6 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Medium Infill: 25% Notes: I printed my laptop stand in HIPS at an extruder temperature of 245C, a bed temperature of 105C, and used 3 top layers, 3 bottom layers, and 4 shell layers. I set the infill to 25% and started cooling at 40% on layer 2. You can use the same settings for ABS but omit the cooling step. Due to its compact footprint, bed warping is not a concern.
