The new power bricks of Macbooks did not came with the foldable cable organizer. Despite having the reputation of destrying the cable, that idea was quite brilliant. I do find the need for having such a storage method and it make everything more compact and elegant.

With the idea, I designed this snap-on piece that you can attach to the macbook power supply. This is only tested for the 96W power supply that come with the new Macbook pro 2021 (M1 chip). It could possbly also works for the 140W power supply.

The piece can be print in place, no assembly required. You might need to work out the joints before installing it to the power supply. I do suggest printing with softer materials such as PETG since I design the piece with very tight clearance. Depending on the printer, the fitting might change and you might have to scale the part slightly. I also suggest to force the seam on the external side of the model, so they do not scratch your power brick.

Disclamer: assembling this piece might leave marks on your power brick. It should not interfere with the function, but might compromise the cosmetics of the device.

Update 05.02.2022

Thanks to the suggestion from @fluetke, an alternative version of stl was uploaded. This version features the “unfolded” state. In other to print the file, support is inevitably needed. It is recommended to use the provided Gcode. In case you want to generate your own code, it is suggested to change the overhang threshold (or similar settings) to 35 degree, and turn on “Don't support bridge”.
