Macbook/Laptop Stands (Customizable)
thingiverse
Two designs of simple laptop stand are available, which print as one piece lying on their side without requiring any supports. The cantilever version features a spar at the back and is more than strong enough to hold the weight of a 16" Macbook Pro, but it does become quite bouncy with that much weight on it. Heavy typers or individuals living on boats might find it better to opt for the closed loop version. I've created both versions with and without raised contact pads under the laptop. If your laptop has a fan intake on its bottom, you should likely print it with the pads or add some of your own. The Fusion 360 file is included so you can customize these designs as needed. They are reasonably well parameterized, but it's always a good idea to review the geometry after making any changes. If you prefer a wider stand, simply scale up the whole design or modify the "width" parameter in the Fusion 360 file. Printing the cantilever version with 3 perimeters and 25% grid infill is suggested. The closed loop version does not require as much infill.
