Mac Mini rack mount bracket with remote power switch
thingiverse
This mount enables one Mac Mini (2012 model - verify dimensions if yours differs) to be securely attached to a 1u 19" equipment rack shelf. It features a push rod and lever that facilitate operation of the power switch from the front of the rack (cables connect to the back). The width allows two mac mini's to be mounted side by side in a 1u shelf. After printing, the push rod requires gentle sanding to ensure smooth movement through the provided holes. A 3mm nut and bolt secure it to the lever, while a small self-tapping screw and washer hold the lever firmly to its stud. The assembly is kept stable with 3mm nuts and bolts on one side (holes are provided in the base) and self-tapping screws on the other side (use the top bracket as a template to align holes - same spacing). Two sturdy top brackets securely fasten the mac mini. The bracket's design prevents any components from obstructing airflow under the mac mini, ensuring unimpeded air circulation from front to back. Print Settings: * Printer: Prusa i3 mk2 * Rafts: No * Supports: Yes * Notes: Printed in PLA. All parts were printed upright except for the push rod, which has a flat surface on its rear.
