The fan in question is a SilverStone SST-AP182, boasting a hole distance of 165mm along its sides where a square pattern is etched into the metal. Placing this fan atop the Mac Mini results in a notable decrease in temperature - about 10 degrees Celsius cooler to be exact, as measured by iStat Menus. This cooling effect is achieved despite using the lowest speed setting on the fan, which operates at 500rpm, moves 102m³/h of air, and produces 17dB of noise. One potential drawback of this fan is that you can no longer easily access the power button if you install the fourth mounting bracket. However, some might view this as a benefit if they're someone who frequently struggles with accidentally shutting down their Mac.
