The issue with broken hinges on the Air Books is well-known. The effort involved in replacing the hinges is enormous and the costs are not insignificant either. I recently came up with a quick design for my junior's corresponding monitor holder for the A1237. It works really well, and it doesn't increase the height of the Air Book, so the stability remains unchanged or tilts slightly. Have fun with that!
