MA887 refractometer Case
thingiverse
This case is tailor-made for the Milwaukee MA887 refractometer. You can grab a commercial case for around $20, but this one will also hold your pipette, calibration fluids (arranged horizontally), and a small cloth for cleaning the glass. The lid fits securely, but you might need to do some light sanding - don't overdo it, as you want it to fit snugly so it won't fall off. To prevent any accidents, consider adding rubber pads to the bottom. I used Simplify3D to print this case with three different profiles for the body itself. The first profile uses a hexagonal 20% infill to achieve a thickness of 2mm. Next up is a 0% infill at 43mm, followed by a rectilinear infill of 20% for the remaining sections. The layer height was set to 0.32mm. With some extra space to spare, you can even add a liner to make it fit perfectly snug, but that's entirely optional. This case also doubles as a makeshift pool for Barbie - who knows, maybe she'll enjoy a splash around!
