M8 Rod Foot / Vibration Dampener for Wallace and other Printers
thingiverse
Simple Solution for a Quieter Printer I added a horizontal M8 or 5/16" rod mount to my Wallace build to reduce the noise level. It works perfectly, and I even used eight of them to support the middle section as well. One thing to note is that PLA is very hard and slippery, so you may want to add small rubber feet or use a dab of hot glue on the bottom to prevent the printer from slipping around. I personally smoothed a little hot glue across the bottoms of a couple, and it does the trick nicely.
