I created this piece to attach my GoPro action cam knockoff to my CR10. Installing Sticky’s Creality CR-10S/CR10 frame brace stiffener (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2808613) got me thinking in the first place. Of course, it works with any M8 threaded rod and sits snugly in place. The main component is the one with the mount on it. The other part is just an M8 knob for standard M8 nuts, which you'll need two of. You can definitely choose to ditch the knobs altogether and install it using just the nuts and some washers – that's entirely up to you. Have a great time!
