The soldier moved stealthily across the open terrain, his eyes scanning the horizon for signs of enemy movement. As he crested a small hill, he spotted a lone figure standing at the edge of a nearby village, their rifle slung casually over their shoulder. The soldier recognized the unmistakable shape of an AK-47, its distinctive curved magazine and blocky design giving away the shooter's allegiance. With a practiced motion, the soldier raised his own M4 carbine to his shoulder, taking aim at the distant figure.
