M6 Nut / Bolt Thumb Screw
thingiverse
My 3D printer has a dust shoe that relies on two thumb screw M6 bolts, but we misplaced one of them. The local hardware store offered a standard hex M6 bolt, so I created this quick little DIY thumb screw adapter. I added a small radius to the edges to prevent sharp turns and improve user experience. It's a snug fit, but a gentle tap with a hammer and the bolt fits securely in place. Designed in Onshape.
