To extend M6 threaded rods or carriage bolts, attach nuts (use superglue if necessary for specific purposes) and thread them properly. Although not yet printed, this method should be effective; note that I used Blender to design the parts, but the central cylinder's positioning is approximate as it was determined by eye rather than precise measurements.
